Exercising calm.

Last week I shared an article about research that was done that showed the more sleep you get, the less anxious you may feel. Makes sense right? We know when we haven’t had a good night’s rest, the next day we are usually zombie-like and scrambling to get things done. It definitely doesn’t feel good and definitely doesn’t help us feel calm. The assignment was of course to get more sleep, and who wants to turn that down?!

There is another article out today that gives us another tip on remaining calm, and this one is connected to exercise. Research was done on mice who were given the opportunity to exercise and then exposed to a stressor. The ones that exercised didn’t freak out as much as the ones that didn’t exercise. In the meantime, the new assignment to help stay calm, other than your Totem Tamers of course, is to exercise a bit and then take a nap!
